This first provides a panoramic overview of the bay of Saint-Florent and of its surrounding geological formations. Towards the west, two main topographic formations stand out, with visible planar structures. The more distant Tenda massif, west of the bay, dips to the east. In contrast, the Miocene Limestones, east of the bay, dip to the west.
Throughout this excursion, we will explore – and explain – such differences in the Corsica geological structures.
